So we have about 2 weekends a year that we have to work. This is one of those fun weekends.
Friday night/Saturday, we have Family Fellowship Festival, which is campmeeting/convocation for our conference/area.
Sunday we have New Member Day, which I am in charge of. We invite each person who has been baptized/profession of faith into our church in the last year to come to our conference office and see what goes on there, and share their story, and just have a better understanding of our church.
It's a good weekend, just long and a lot of work. Especially for some people, as there's those who do not ever help, and those that "won't be here for that".

i'm one of the people that insists on holding my peers accontable and expecting them to be responsible.
i've been asked no less then 4 times today by one of my superiors if i'm confident my peers can actually handle the equipement and set it up correctly. I say "we pay them 40k a year, i think we need to expect they can figure it out."
i'm sick and tired of knowing people make good money and discovering that a 3rd grader could do their job. if it's got a switch, turn it on. if it looks expensive, don't drop it or let it out of your sight. if YOU took it, bring it back. if you don't know what is going on, ask a question. please do not make assumptions that OTHER PEOPLE will do what is on your list of things you are responsible for. please do not wait until the last minute for clarification ofyour dutys.
is it really that difficult?
